Three men throw eggs at several young children at pro-Trump rally

Three men threw eggs at young children attending an event in support of President Trump in Delaware.

“Today, in @JoeBiden’s town, a child was egged during our pro-Trump rally by hateful leftists,” Republican Senate candidate Lauren Witzke, who organized the event, posted on Twitter Sunday, along with a video showing children with eggshells and egg yolks splattered on them.

Delaware State Police are investigating the incident and say three adults and three children were struck by eggs thrown by three males between the ages of 20 and 25 who drove by in a car, according to the Blaze.

Witzke, who is running in Tuesday’s GOP Delaware Senate primary and could face Democratic Sen. Chris Coons in November, said that the girl in the video who had egg on her head was 5 years old and the other children were between 5 and 10.

“This is yet another example of violence, not simply from the far left but from ordinary Democrats who support Joe Biden and Chris Coons, who have been radicalized by the far-left media who encourages them to assault political opponents of any kind,” Witzke told the Washington Examiner. “The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident, and the perpetrators should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The video received attention from several prominent conservative Twitter accounts, including Sen. Ted Cruz.

“Rational adults, civilized human beings, people with even a shred of decency…DO NOT do this,” the Texas Republican tweeted.

Earlier this month, two Delaware women were charged with a hate crime for allegedly attacking a 7-year-old boy and stealing his pro-Trump hat outside the Democratic National Convention.

Delaware State Police confirmed to Washington Examiner that the incident did take place and released a statement online asking for the public’s help finding the suspects.
