Dennis Rodman was reportedly booed at a comedy roast, when he made a joke about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
At a taping Saturday for the “The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis,” the NBA star knocked the actor’s Hollywood career.
“You keep making these bomb movies like Kim, but at least he is smart enough not to release his,” Rodman said. That joke was met by boos, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Rodman is a self-proclaimed friend of Kim, having made multiple trips to North Korea, which over the years has threatened the U.S. with its missile and nuclear weapons program.
President Trump met with Kim in Singapore in June and both leaders signed a document in which they agreed “to work toward complete denuclearization” and “the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean peninsula.” Before that summit, Rodman, who also knows Trump from staring in the businessman’s “Celebrity Apprentice” reality show,” said his meetings with Kim paved the way for the talks.
The roast of Willis will air on Comedy Central on July 29.
