Tic Tac comes out against Donald Trump

Tic Tac USA, the company behind the famous crunchy breath mints, has rebuked Donald Trump’s dirty mouth.

Though it didn’t use the Republican nominee for president’s name, it’s clear enough what the company was talking about.

“Tic Tac respects all women. We find the recent statements and behavior completely inappropriate and unacceptable,” the company said on its Twitter account Saturday.

The context of that statement is the continuing fallout from leaked audio of Trump making lewd comments about aggressively hitting on and seducing women, married and otherwise, in 2005, and saying, “I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her.”

Trump has made a rare apology for the remarks but dozens of prominent Republicans so far have decided that he needs to leave the ticket in favor of that relative breath of fresh air, VP nominee Mike Pence.
