Insiders see post-2018 election White House shakeup

Advisers to President Trump are predicting a post-midterm elections shakeup in the White House, one that could be wide and deep if the GOP loses control of the House.

As a result, some Trump allies on the outside said they are resisting urgings to join the White House now, concerned they will be dumped in a staff turnover, which are typical in new administrations after the first midterm election.

One Trump whisperer said that in addition to filling several vacant jobs, they hope the president names a savvy political adviser in the Karl Rove model to help him through re-election. …

The association has painted an official five-egg set for sale and produced a unique paperback on the event, which moved to the White House under Rutherford B. Hayes when it was booted from Capitol Hill. …

• House Speaker Paul Ryan has produced a graphic for members showing how much better he is at fundraising than House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. For the 2018 election cycle as reported to the Federal Election Commission, Ryan raised $44.7 million to Pelosi’s $2.3 million. …
