Dan Bongino to test YouTube’s ‘communist policy’ of removing content concerning allegations of election fraud

Conservative radio show host Dan Bongino said he is going to test YouTube’s new policy of removing content that includes allegations of widespread election fraud.

“‘YouTube to crack down on election misinformation,’ I’m going to test this communist policy by YouTube today. If they delete my show you can watch it on Rumble, the free speech alternative to ScrewTube,” Bongino wrote.

YouTube announced Wednesday that it will limit content “that misleads people by alleging that widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.”

“Yesterday was the safe harbor deadline for the U.S. Presidential election and enough states have certified their election results to determine a President-elect,” the platform said in a blog post. “Given that, we will start removing any piece of content uploaded today (or anytime after) that misleads people by alleging that widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, in line with our approach towards historical U.S. Presidential elections.”

Bongino acquired an equity stake in the video-sharing platform Rumble earlier this year in hopes that it will compete with YouTube.

“We need a home,” Bongino told the Washington Examiner in September. “We need somewhere to go where conservative views won’t be discriminated against.”

On Tuesday, Bongino took a victory lap as his Rumble page surpassed the number of followers he has on YouTube.

“THANK YOU! We sent a huge message to the tech tyrants. In just three months on Rumble we blew past our subscriber count on YouTube. It’s happening. And you’re a part of it. We’re not going to sit back and take it anymore,” he posted.

YouTube’s new policy comes as tech platforms have censored and flagged comments regarding the presidential election and alleged fraud, including posts from President Trump.
