Members of an audience waiting to hear from Hillary Clinton in Oklahoma Friday audibly groaned when it was revealed the Democratic presidential candidate would be late for the event.
“I want to give you a brief update on a delay with Secretary Clinton’s arrival time,” announced an apologetic emcee. “It’s going to be a little bit closer to 2 [p.m.], but I know you can make it and stay here.” The crowd erupted in groans.
“Unavoidable,” the emcee protested.
Clinton is scheduled to attend a fundraiser in Tulsa later on Friday.
