BOSTON (AP) — The head of AMR Corporation and American Airlines Inc. will be kicking off the Global Business Travel Association’s annual convention by speaking about how his company is restructuring after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November.
Thomas Horton, who will also touch on how these changes will affect business travel, is one of many industry leaders who will participate in the four-day event, beginning Sunday in Boston. It will feature expert panels, speeches and an expo floor where companies can showcase their products and services.
Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are schedule to deliver speeches on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. “Saturday Night Live” comedian Seth Meyers is slated to speak Monday.
Thousands of business travel industry leaders, companies and employees are expected to attend the convention.
