A New Jersey teacher saved one of her third grade students from choking by giving him the Heimlich maneuver during class last week.
One student came up to JaNeice Jenkins and indicated to her he was choking. Jenkins’s quick thinking was captured on a classroom camera set up by the East Orange Community Charter School. The video was later posted to YouTube.
The student had accidentally gulped down a water bottle cap while drinking from his bottle. Luckily, Jenkins acted quick enough to get the cap out of his throat while he was still conscious.
