A Virginia State Police trooper was injured in a car crash late Friday, and another trooper was seriously hurt while responding to the Springfield collision.

Police said Trooper B.J. Sisk was hurt when the Lincoln Towne Car in front of him suddenly stopped while he was responding to an emergency call at about 10:15 p.m., driving south on Interstate 395. Sisk stopped, but was then rear-ended by the driver of an Acura GL, who was traveling at 65 mph.
