President Trump and first lady Melania Trump will be treated to a lavish dinner as part of their first state visit to the United Kingdom.
Seated at the head of the horseshoe-shaped table will be Queen Elizabeth II and Trump. One hundred seventy guests are expected tonight. The dinner has been six months in the planning, and the royal table has taken the staff three days to set, according to CNN.
The royal family greeted Trump when he landed at Buckingham Palace on Monday in Marine One. He watched a military welcoming ceremony and then toured important British artifacts with the queen.
Trump’s visit to the U.K. has been met with various protests. One group projected onto a building the U.K. approval ratings of Trump compared to former President Barack Obama, as well as Boris Johnson heavily criticizing Trump in 2015.
