Big exhibit features small works

More than 200 paintings, photographs and sculptures are on display in the Light Street Gallery?s Holiday Small Works Exhibit. More than 40 artists, varying in style, contributed to the show, ending Jan. 12. All two-dimensional pieces are smaller than 144 inches and all three-dimensional works are smaller than 1,728 cubic inches. The Gallery is located at 1448 Light Street in Baltimore. Half-priced tickets to Deja Vu

Every Friday through Dec. 28, you can see Déjà Vu? Revealing Repetition in French Masterpieces at The Walters Art Museum for half the price of regular admission.  Déjà Vu? includes 76 works by 11 renowned French painters, including Monet, Degas, Matisse and Cézanne. For the epic exhibit, the Louvre and the Hermitage loaned the Walters works of art. Regular admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for college students and young adults (age 18 to 25) and free for Walters members and 17 and under. The Walters Art Museum is located at 600 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

Call for ?Top of the World? artists

Artists wanting to display their works in the juried exhibit Top of the World Black History Month should submit their applications to the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts by Dec. 28. Each application should include six electronic images of existing work, a one-page current resume and a completed copy of the application form and image description form. Submissions should be relevant to African-American culture. Selected art will be displayed in the World Trade Center?s Top of the World Observation Level. For more information call 410-752-8632.
