President-elect Trump surprised the reporters who have camped out in the lobby of Trump Tower for a week on Monday evening by slipping away to have dinner with his family at a Manhattan restaurant.Trump’s motorcade was spotted leaving Trump Tower by a broadcast crew, but his destination remained a mystery until Taylor Riggs, a Bloomberg Radio reporter, posted a photograph of Trump on social media.Trump and his family dined at 21 Club. It was the first time the president-elect had left Trump Tower since returning from Washington, where he’d met with President Obama at the White House on Thursday.Reporters covering the transition team were not permitted to enter the restaurant, and those without a New York City press pass were asked to move down the street.
