President Trump is spending the Fourth of July at a private golf club he owns just outside Washington, D.C., in Northern Virginia before heading back to the White House later in the day to headline a picnic for military families.
Reporters traveling with the presidential motorcade said Trump arrived at the Trump National Golf Club, an 800-acre property near Potomac Falls, shortly after 11 a.m. local time.
Trump was seen leaving the White House dressed in dark pants, a white shirt, and a white hat.
Wednesday marks the 122nd time Trump has visited a golf resort during his year and a half in office, according to an NBC tracker.
Last year, Trump and first lady Melania Trump hosted military families for a picnic. Preparations were already well underway this morning.
Backyard at White House is set up for this evening’s picnic for military members at 5p, and a 90-minute Fourth of July celebration at 8p with a concert and fireworks.

His predecessor, Barack Obama, held a star-studded concert on Independence Day2016.
Presidents for decades have hosted military families on the South Lawn of the People’s House. The picnic is always followed by fireworks over the National Mall, just blocks from the picnic.
