President Trump says Joe Biden is ready to take the public’s guns away.
“Just like Radical Left New York is trying to destroy the NRA, if Biden becomes President your GREAT SECOND AMENDMENT doesn’t have a chance,” Trump tweeted on Thursday. “Your guns will be taken away, immediately and without notice. No police, no guns!”

Earlier in the day, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced she was pursuing a lawsuit against the National Rifle Association aimed at dissolving it for alleged “fraud and abuse.”
“I think the NRA should move to Texas and lead a very good and beautiful life,” Trump told reporters outside the White House after the announcement. “They’ve been absolutely decimated by the cost of that lawsuit, and it’s very sad, but I would suggest that that’s what they do.”
Trump said he hopes to position himself as a strong backer of the Second Amendment. President Barack Obama and then-Vice President Joe Biden had a difficult time passing gun control legislation when they were in office. If elected president, Biden has expressed his intentions to ban the sale and manufacture of “assault weapons.”
