Huntington Ingalls Industries on Wednesday released video showing the launch of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer Paul Ignatius.
The time-lapse video specifically shows the “translation” of the ship to a floating dry dock via a rail system from the Ingalls Shipbuilding yard in Pascagoula, Miss. The dry dock is then moved away from the pier and flooded before the ship gets underway.
