First lady Melania Trump said Monday the first family were looking forward to celebrating their first holiday season in Washington, after she and her son, Barron Trump, received the official White House Christmas tree.
“Thank you Silent Night Evergreens in Wisconsin for our beautiful tree!” the first lady wrote on Twitter, referring to the business that presented Trump with the 19-foot-tall Balsam fir.
“@POTUS, Barron & I are excited for Christmas in our new home!” she added.
The tree will be displayed in the White House’s Blue Room.
Silent Night Evergreens, owned by the Chapman family, last provided the official White House Christmas tree in 1998 and 2003, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.
