President Trump and his family are expected to travel to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., for 16 days over the Christmas and New Year holidays, according to a Federal Aviation Administration alert issued Thursday.
The government agency memo forbids planes from flying over West Palm Beach between Dec. 21 and Jan. 6.
The FAA has issued similar guidance in the past ahead of presidential travel to South Florida.
First lady Melania Trump and the couple’s son, Barron, are expected to travel in or out of Palm Beach International Airport.
But Trump could run into trouble if Congress and the White House are unable to read a budget deal, prompting the government to shut down.
The Trumps spent 12 days at their southern getaway last Christmas, which was the president’s first holiday season in office.
His predecessor, President Barack Obama, used to spend two weeks at a time with his family vacationing in Hawaii over the winter holidays.
Trump is not expected to return to Washington until Jan. 6, three days after the new Congress commences. Democrats will retake control of the House while Republicans maintain Senate control.
