The Texas teen who was physically assaulted and had his “Make America Great Again” hat stolen just received a new hat, signed by President Trump himself.
Sixteen-year-old Hunter Richard is now sporting a signed copy of the president’s signature red campaign cap after Donald Trump Jr. caught wind of the viral video that surfaced earlier this month. In the clip, Richard was attacked for wearing the cap at a Whataburger restaurant just outside San Antonio.

In the video, 30-year-old Kino Jimenez violently ripped off Richard’s hat and threw a drink at him while ridiculing him for his political beliefs. Police have since arrested him and charged him with theft, according to NBC 4 San Antonio.
Trump Jr. has not made it clear what role he played in securing the signed hat for the teen.
