The Washington Examiner has launched an iPhone app that lets readers across the country read the paper in the palm of their hand — for free.
The app provides extensive coverage of national politics and a wide selection of right-of-center commentary, as well as complete coverage of local news in the Washington area. It features every major story from the newspaper’s popular Web site and print edition, along with posts from The Examiner‘s widely read blogs, including Beltway Confidential, Yeas & Nays and Capital Land.
To download the app, go to the App Store on your iPhone, tap the “Search” icon and type in “Washington Examiner.” After that, just tap “free” and “install,” and the country’s best source of political news and commentary will be no farther than your pocket or purse.
The app features simple navigation that provides easy access to features of interest. By hitting the “Options” button, readers can save articles of interest or share them with friends via e-mail, Facebook and Twitter.
The Examiner plans to launch apps for other mobile devices in coming months.
