A pilot in Michigan has a strong message for Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as the state remains under a controversial stay-at-home order.
Pilot Ed Frederick this week charted a flight path over the city of Grand Rapids, spelling out the letters “F” and “U” before drawing an arrow pointing at Whitmer’s mansion in Lansing.
“The government, no matter Democrats or Republicans, always seem like they’re trying to do something just to prove they’re doing something, without weighing the ramifications,” Frederick, who lives just outside Grand Rapids, told the New York Post on Friday.
Frederick called Whitmer’s recent action extending the state’s lockdown measures, which the governor argued would save lives, “a power trip.”

Armed protesters stormed the state Capitol in Lansing this week, upset with Whitmer’s decision to extend state guidelines mandating social distancing. The demonstrators have been encouraged by President Trump, who called them “very good people.”
“I don’t need the government to wipe my tushie every two minutes,” Frederick said. “Let me know what the problems are going to be and let me know what the ramifications are; I’m responsible for myself.”
