HOUSTON (AP) — One Texas House member is defeating another to fill a state Senate seat left open after longtime Sen. Tommy Williams resigned last year.
Unofficial election returns from the Secretary of State with 100 percent of precincts reporting show four-term Rep. Brandon Creighton of Conroe got the most votes Tuesday with 67.37 percent of the vote. Freshman Rep. Steve Toth of The Woodlands finished with 32.62 percent.
