Trump: I ‘appreciate the congrats for being right’ on terrorism

Donald Trump declared himself “right” for predicting more deadly terror attacks by radical Islamic extremists in the wake of a mass shooting Sunday in Orlando, Fla.

Shortly after calling the mass shooting at the Orlando gay nightclub “horrible” and “really bad,” Trump took to Twitter to say the U.S. “must be smart” in the measures it takes to protect Americans against domestic terror attacks.

“When will this stop? When will we get tough, smart [and] vigilant?” the presumptive Republican nominee tweeted earlier Sunday morning.

The overnight shooting by a 29-year-old man who had once been monitored by federal authorities is being investigated by FBI officials and local law enforcement as a possible act of Islamist-directed terror.

Trump has repeatedly called for a “total and complete ban” on non-American Muslims seeking to enter the U.S. until Congress has passed additional measures to protect Americans against insidious terrorist attacks.
