Donna Brazile to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson: ‘You and I gotta go fishing’

Former interim Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile invited political sparring partner Tucker Carlson to go fishing during an appearance on his Fox News program on Wednesday.

“Tucker, you and I gotta go fishing because I have a recipe that I think will make your tummy feel really good,” Brazile told Carlson towards the end of their discussion.

The pair formerly worked at CNN together.

It wasn’t the first time the interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” turned to food.

Earlier, Brazile used a culinary analogy while commenting on the hyperpartisan nature of the U.S. political milieu.

“When people see things that they disagree with, they don’t just say, ‘Donna, I don’t like that, that gumbo is not the right kind, you’re using andouille sausage, not the hot sausage,'” Brazile said. “You know what they say? ‘I’d much rather not have you or the gumbo.'”

“Tucker, unfortunately, we live in a world where even appearing on this show tonight, even taking pictures with people I disagree with, people attack you, they attack your motives,” Brazile added.

Brazile is currently promoting her new 2016 election memoir, Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in the White House, which sold out on Amazon on Tuesday.
