George H.W. Bush expected to be released from hospital by week’s end

Former President George H.W. Bush is expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the week, a spokesperson for the 41st president said Tuesday.

Bush, 92, has recovered from pneumonia but is still dealing with the lingering effects of chronic bronchitis. The former president was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital for a persistent cough, that was later diagnosed as mild pneumonia April 14.
