We asked college students in Washington, D.C., who they would rather watch: Joe Rogan or cable news.
We found most students did not know who major cable news hosts were, including Brian Stelter, Rachel Maddow, and Don Lemon. Almost everyone at least knew who Joe Rogan was and had seen his show.

For some time, CNN’s ratings have been plummeting to all-time lows. A recent Rasmussen Reports survey revealed that 8% of those surveyed said they watch CNN “every day.” Meanwhile, Rogan’s show blows all cable news ratings out of the water, tripling the viewers of runner-up Tucker Carlson Tonight, according to numbers from Q3 of 2021.
