CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The scientist and comedian known as Bill Nye the Science Guy is visiting New Hampshire science centers to promote President Barack Obama’s education agenda.
Nye, the host of three currently-running television shows, started his tour Monday at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord on Monday before heading to Manchester and Rye. He said while he understands the Republicans’ desire to reduce the size of government, cutting funding for education will hurt the nation in the long run.
