The Washington Commanders have been roasted on repeat since they announced their new mascot, Major Tuddy, on Sunday.
Major Tuddy is a pig who sports a Commanders jersey and military helmet.

The term “The Hogs” has been a part of Washington, D.C.’s football history for over 40 years and was introduced as praise for the team’s snout offensive line by then-coach Joe Bugel.
Despite the history behind the mascot, fans and social media have not been kind to the organization since the introduction of Major Tuddy.
“Reason 1000 why Washington should have been called the Warthogs and not the Commanders … I actually don’t dislike the mascot. All mascots are inherently stupid and cringey … But Commanders was/is a bad name,” one Twitter user wrote.
