Va. teens charged in murder conspiracy

Two Woodbridge teenagers are charged with conspiracy to commit murder after they allegedly stole a handgun and made death threats.

A 16-year-old girl is accused of stealing a handgun that belonged to a family member and making death threats toward that person and other relatives, said Officer Jonathan Perok, a Prince William County police spokesman.

The girl and a 17-year-old boy were planning to carry out the threats, Perok said. The two were arrested before any violence occurred.

The girl’s family member reported the gun missing from a home on the 5600 block of Saint Charles Drive on Aug. 14.

Police said Tuesday that the teens had been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and grand larceny of a firearm. Their names were not released because they are juveniles.
