A Fairfax County woman was pinned to the floor of her home when a 70-foot-tall tree fell through the roof of her home early Sunday morning.
The tree crashed through the bedroom of the home on the 5000 block of Lavery Court in Burke, Va., at around 1 a.m., also trapping an adult male.
The man was unhurt, while the woman was transported to INOVA Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injures after a two-hour rescue mission.
Fire & EMS responders said they believe Saturday night’s heavy winds toppled the tree.
The house has been condemned.
