Maxine Waters should be expelled for inciting ‘mob violence,’ says Judicial Watch

The president of a conservative advocacy group called on the House of Representatives Thursday to expel Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., for inciting “mob violence” against Trump administration officials.

“They should consider expelling her for this type of activity,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton told Fox News. “If they’re not pressed by voters, they do nothing.”

“The House has to decide whether to allow its members to use the House as a platform, and its power and position, to attack and incite violence against Trump Cabinet members,” he said. “Look, she’s telling people get a crowd together, confront Trump Cabinet members as they’re getting basic necessities for life, tell them they’re not welcome, push back. That’s the very definition of mob violence.”

Judicial Watch sent a letter to the House Office of Congressional Ethics on June 25, imploring the body to launch an investigation into whether Waters violated House rules when she encouraged supporters at a rally in Los Angeles to harass Trump aides.

Waters’ comments came after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, and White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller were heckled in public.

Fitton added on Thursday that Waters should not fear for her safety after reports that she received death threats in the wake of her remarks.
