This afternoon, New York Democratic congressman Anthony Weiner admitted that he lied about publishing a lewd photograph of himself on his Twitter feed. In a press conference at New York City’s Sheraton Hotel, Weiner told reporters he meant to send the picture that sparked this controversy directly to a college student “as a joke” and said he is taking full responsibility for his actions. Weiner is not resigning from his seat in Congress.
