Special counsel Robert Mueller was chased down after an Easter Sunday church service by a journalist reporting for NBC News and MSNBC.
“Sir, could I ask you a couple of questions? Will you testify before Congress, sir?” Mike Viqueira asked Mueller outside St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., which is located across from the White House.

“I’ve got no comment,” Mueller responded.
Viqueira then peppered the former FBI director with other questions, including whether President Trump would have been indicted on the evidence uncovered by the federal Russia investigation had he not been a sitting president, why he did not make more direct recommendations to Congress based on his findings, and whether Attorney General William Barr accurately represented his positions on whether Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia and his obstruction of justice inquiry.

Viqueira, while talking about his exchange with Mueller during a segment on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” acknowledged some critics would be upset about his run-in with the taciturn special counsel.
“We tried to be as respectful as possible,” he said. “Some people would characterize [this] as an ambush interview of a man coming out of Easter services at church … Some passersby weren’t happy that we were doing that.”
Mueller was previously spotted at the church last month after he delivered his report to Attorney General William Barr.
This is unlikely to be the last time Mueller is grilled about his 400-page-plus report. House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., has requested the special counsel testify before Congress before May 23.
