As we mentioned yesterday, Ashton Kutcher has been everywhere lately, including showing up at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
Turns out the “Two and a Half Men” star didn’t fit in too well among the country crowd.
Ashton was there to present the award for female vocalist of the year and he came dressed in a bright-red blazer and a black 10-gallon hat. He even made a show of singing a few bars of a George Strait song before handing the award to winner Miranda Lambert, according to Us Weekly.
The actor’s antics weren’t exactly a hit. “Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me? Watching it back now and I’m kinda wondering?” Miranda tweeted after the ceremony.
Even those in the crowd wondered why the “Punk’d” star was a presenter.
“People were just like ‘why is he here?’ — he has nothing to do with country,” one attendee told Us. “Nobody laughed at his dumb jokes, in fact he came off as rude.”
Country singer Justin Moore also wasn’t pleased, tweeting, “Seen Ashton kutcher at the acms tonight. What a douche! I don’t care for people making a mockery of the way country artists’ dress.”
It’s really looking doubtful that Ashton will be asked back for next year’s awards.
Romance Down Under
Looks like Wilmer Valderrama and Minka Kelly are heating up.
The rumored couple were spotted walking arm-in-arm in Australia this week, according to People magazine.
The mag says that after an evening of partying at the opening of a new nightclub in Sydney, Minka and Wilmer were spotted taking a cozy walk along the water.
This has fueled rumors that the two are more than friends. During the walk, Wilmer was photographed with his arm around Minka.
The two were first linked in March, when they were spotted flirting and dancing at a club, leaving with each other later that night.
Who wants to try a ‘Jet Bow’?
Next time you’re in New York City, you can order Tim Tebow right off a menu. Well, not really. But you can order a sandwich that was named for him.
According to CBS News, Manhattan’s Carnegie Deli has put the “Jet Bow” sandwich on its menu in honor of the New York Jets’ newly acquired, fan-favorite quarterback.
CBS says the sandwich is a towering creation that weighs in at about 4 pounds and has a very New York price tag of $22.22. It consists of pastrami, corned beef, roast beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise piled high on white bread.
“Seventy-five years, we’ve always made sandwiches on rye bread,” Carnegie’s Sandy Levine told CBS. “This time, we put it on white bread and we used mayonnaise, not mustard. This is sacrosanct in delis, but we realize who Tim Tebow is. He’s an outstanding citizen. He’s the all-American boy.”
