Demonstrators and opposition leaders are not satisfied with President Hosni Mubarak’s announcement that he would continue to remain in power until the September elections, then step aside. On the heels of his speech, Egyptian opposition groups also rejected offers made by Mubarak for dialogue and would not discuss anything with the newly appointed government until he resigns.
