Donate school supplies

Dominion Virginia Power is inviting the public to come stuff its service trucks with school supplies on Friday — the first day of Virginia’s tax-free school supplies weekend. The power company hopes to collect donations of backpacks, pencils, markers and other items at Kmart parking lots in Chantilly, Fairfax, Fredericksburg, Herndon, Springfield and Woodbridge. Donations will go to public school students. Donors can stuff the “bucket trucks” between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. — Liz Essley
