A Trump-branded helicopter on Saturday used for the first time a helipad that was built for Marine One at the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
President Trump was not on the helicopter that landed, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.
A spokesman for the Palm Beach Fire-Rescue told the news organization that he was surprised about the landing, and Secret Service had asked for a fire engine to be on standby.
“This was not something we knew was coming,” Sean Baker said.

He added that Trump’s private helicopter would be staged at the resort until Sunday.
The construction on the helipad began in February. The helipad allows Trump to fly in Marine One from Palm Beach International Airport to avoid tying up traffic with his motorcade.
