The Metro track worker who was charged with public drunkenness and impeding police on Thursday, hours before his shift started, has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to Metro.
Robert Moss was arrested inside the Pentagon City station Thursday evening after officers spotted him on the platform. The Metro worker of three years was off-duty at the time but was slated to return to work at 10 p.m., according to the agency.
He was not placed on administrative leave immediately, as is typical when Metro employees are being investigated, because he was not working when he was arrested.
But when he reported to work Friday, Moss was placed on leave pending the completion of the investigation, said Metro spokesman Reggie Woodruff. He remained on leave as of Monday afternoon.
