Tractor-trailer crash closes I-95

A fiery crash involving two tractor-trailers and two automobiles shut down Interstate 95 in Baltimore County today at 2:31 p.m. No one was injured, fire officials said.

All four southbound lanes of the interstate highway and two of the four northbound lanes are closed to traffic, state police reported. The shoulders on both sides of the highway also are closed.

Baltimore County fire crews are now clearing the scene of the collision, which occurredin the southbound lane of the highway, near White Marsh Boulevard. The tractor-trailers were carrying cardboard boxes.

Baltimore County hazmat crews are working with the Maryland of the Department of the Environment to unload the trucks’ diesel fuel Tanks, officials said.
