Joe Biden said the death of Qassem Soleimani would increase the risk of a war and might trigger “multiple attacks” by Iran.
Speaking Friday, Biden criticized the drone strike against the Iranian military commander. He said the Middle East is already on the brink of another war and that “the risk has been made much worse by President Trump’s policies.”
The former vice president said that the attack against Soleimani could lead to “multiple Iranian attacks by multiple means on multiple targets.”
He also contrasted Trump’s foreign policy in the region to former President Barack Obama’s and said that Obama had put the threat of war with Iran “on the back burner,” but now it is “back on the table.”
