The New Spirit Community Church and Homewood Center are partnering to offer more support for Homewood students and their families, according to a Howard school system news release.
The Homewood Center is designed to help students who have trouble functioning in traditional classroom settings.
New Spirit and the Homewood Center will sponsor activities such as food and clothing drives, holiday assistance and a transportation fund.
The church will donate gift cards to students to reward positive behavior.
