A friend of an adult film star who was reportedly paid hush money by President Trump before the election described her friend Stephanie Clifford’s — aka pornstar Stormy Daniels — alleged sexual encounter with Trump more than a decade ago.
During an appearance on “Megyn Kelly Today,” the friend, who goes by the stage name Alana Evans, detailed a night in Lake Tahoe in 2006 in which Clifford and Trump repeatedly called her to party with them.
Evans says she has no doubts the two were alone in Trump’s hotel room. Evans eventually turned off her phone because she became “very uncomfortable.”
“Uncomfortable because of who he was,” she told Kelly. “This is a man I grew up watching on television.”
Trump did not explicitly say why he wanted Evans to join him and Clifford, but Evans believed there would be more “going on than just playing cards or Scrabble.”
The day after, Evans called Clifford to apologize for bailing. Through laughter, Evans described to Kelly what Clifford had told her.
“She said, ‘Well, picture this. Donald Trump chasing me around the bedroom in his tighty-whities isn’t something you ever forget,’” Evans said.
Evans said she didn’t ask any more questions because that was enough detail for her.
“So you don’t know whether it went beyond that?” Kelly asked.
“Right,” Evans responded, saying she and Clifford never spoke about that night again.
Evans said coming forward was not politically motivated, despite being a Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton, because she supported Sen. Bernie Sanders.
The Wall Street Journal reported last week Trump’s longtime lawyer Michael Cohen arranged a $130,000 payment to Clifford in October 2016 during negotiations of a nondisclosure agreement.
Clifford, 38, has told people privately she had a sexual encounter with Trump after they met in July 2006 in Lake Tahoe. Trump married his wife, Melania, in 2005.
Kelly on Tuesday said she spoke with Jacob Weisberg, the editor in chief of left-leaning Slate, about conversations he had with Clifford before the election.
Clifford told Weisberg “on-the-record” that she had a year-long affair with Trump in which they had “at least four sexual encounters.”
Evans said she had no knowledge of the affair, but that she wouldn’t be surprised.
“It’s Donald Trump,” she said.
Trump has denied all allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior with women as he faced allegations during the presidential election.
Cohen denied the sexual allegations to the Wall Street Journal and NBC. He also provided a statement he said was from Clifford to NBC.
“When I met Donald Trump, he was gracious, professional and a complete gentleman to me and everyone in my presence. Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false. If indeed I did have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me you wouldn’t be reading about in the news, you’d be reading about it in my book. But the fact of the matter is, these stories are not true,” the statement said.
