Looks like the Jacksons are back to being one of most dysfunctional families in Hollywood (move over, Lohans!).
After it was reported that an altercation took place at Katherine Jackson’s home, the matriarch’s attorney told E! News her version of the story.
“Yesterday afternoon certain Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson’s home after their vehicle tore security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson’s children,” says Katherine’s attorney, Sandra Ribera.
“After exiting their vehicles, Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands. Out of concern for the well being of Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson, the children were forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene.”
Photos and video obtained by TMZ show that the siblings present during the altercation were Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed to E! News that its deputies were called to the Encino, Calif., home to investigate a possible battery.
Following rumors of Michael’s siblings concocting a plot to get his three children removed from their grandmother’s care, Sandra said, “Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren.”
The attorney also says L.A. sheriffs confirmed that they have been denied access to Katherine by security for one of her children.
And according to TMZ, the Michael Jackson estate released a statement saying, “We are acutely concerned about the welfare of Mrs. Jackson, and most particularly with Michael’s minor children.”
Amid all the drama, Paris tweeted, “Gotta love fam.”
This should annoy Eminem
There’s no chance Mariah Carey would have taken less money to judge “American Idol” than Britney Spears is making to judge “The X Factor.” So it’s not surprising that Mimi will be pulling in almost $18 million to appear on one season of her new show.
This will make Mariah, 42, the highest-paid judge on any reality television show.
Brit is reported to be earning $15 mil on “X Factor” while Jennifer Lopez is said to have earned the same amount — plus bonuses — for her second season on “AI.” Howard Stern reportedly made $15 mil for “America’s Got Talent,” and Christina Aguilera will make $10 million for her third season of “The Voice.”
