President Joe Biden did not mention Jesus Christ during his Easter message, but he encouraged the public to get vaccinated repeatedly.
“Jill and I want to send you our warmest Easter greetings to you and your family. As we celebrate this most holy day, we know many are still going without familiar comforts of the season,” Biden said in a video message with first lady Jill Biden on Easter Sunday.
“The virus is not gone, and so many of us still feel the longing and loneliness of distance. For a second year, most will be apart from their families, their friends, the full congregations that fill us with joy. And yet, as the Gospel of John reminds us, the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it,” he said.
From our family to yours, we wish you health, hope, joy, and peace. Happy Easter, everyone! pic.twitter.com/3NHPrbFCVt

Easter is the holiest holiday for Christians and marks when Jesus resurrected from the dead.

Commenters on social media criticized the president for not saying Jesus’s name during his message. The couple did, however, say a variation of the word “vaccine” four times and “virus” twice.
Jesus is my Savior. Government is not. Stop conflating the two.

Well, as @JoeBiden supports the abortion of babies and his family only attend church when they need to virtue signal, of course he’s not going to mention Christ or God in his Easter message … https://t.co/rLjHsr0tA8

Biden has often spoken about his Catholic faith, and he did mention Pope Francis and God in his short message.
“We share the sentiments of Pope Francis, who said that getting vaccinated is a moral obligation, one that can save your life and the lives of others. By getting vaccinated and encouraging your congregations and your communities to get vaccinated, we not only can beat this virus, we can also haste the day when we can celebrate the holidays together again,” he said.
“This Easter, from our family to yours, we wish you health, hope, joy, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding,” Jill Biden added.

Biden and his family spent the holiday weekend in Camp David, which drew criticisms considering he urged the public to avoid gatherings.
“It’s a limited group and certainly not the big Irish Biden clan that many of you have seen during throughout the course of time in public office,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki noted to reporters on Friday.
