Ever wondered about your ancestors? The Maryland Historical Society might be able to help you out. It will host a workshop called “Researching your Civil War Ancestors” along with the Maryland Genealogical Society. The program will feature Michael Hait and David Shriver Lovelace, who have written books on the subject, and Michael P. Musick, an adviser for Ken Burns’ documentary “The Civil War.” Registration is $40 for those who aren’t members of either host group, and making at $10 donation gets you individual research assistance.
