Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at Nationals Park Friday
The Boss is back.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band return to D.C. for a Friday night show at Nationals Park. Springsteen played a sold-out show at the Verizon Center on April 1, just weeks into his Wrecking Ball Tour.
After playing and stadiums throughout Europe for most of the summer. Bruce and the band took a short break. But now the Boss is back in the USA, this time, stadiums and ballparks. And after performing their 3-plus-hours shows through downpours at Boston’s Fenway Park and Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Bruce and the band will get a gorgeous night in Washington.

‘Skin’ Exhibition at Strathmore, opens Saturday
Harriet Lesser first got the idea of presenting an exhibition on body modification after a conversation with D.C.-based tattoo artist Paul Roe five years ago at Artomatic.
Highlights of “Skin” include two mini studios set up by Roe, of the H Street tattoo parlor British Ink; a body paint from Craig Tracy; and henna by Bhavna Naik.
“It’s a real homage to the fact that humans love adornment,” said Lesser of henna.
Lesser, a self-described tattoo watcher, hopes that people who visit the exhibition leave with an appreciation of individuality, in other people or in themselves.
“I hope they take away taking a closer look at the details of other people,” Lesser said. “It’s alright to notice differences and appreciate their individuality. Or in the mirror.”
