A Howard County teacher who is awaiting trial for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old boy was indicted Wednesday on new charges that she had sex with another 15-year-old boy around the same time in 2004.

Kirsten Ann Kinley, 27, a former special education teacher at Marriotts Ridge High School, was indicted by a Howard grand jury on three counts of third-degree sex offense.

The Howard County School Board terminated Kinley?s contract Wednesday afternoon, said Patti Kaplan, a schools spokeswoman.

“The bottom line is that there was enough evidence for the superintendent to feel confident that there had been a violation of our policies,” Kaplan said.

In March, she was indicted on three counts of third-degree sex offense and two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor, after an area high school student told police he had sex with Kinley twice in December 2004 and January 2005.

At least one other local high school student ? in addition to the two who have come forward ? said he had sex with Kinley, according to charging documents.

The boy in the most recent indictment said he heard about Kinley through his friend, and the detective handling the case wrote in his report that “several other names, all rumored to be victims, were provided by several people.”

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Kinley was a teacher at Hammond Middle School in Laurel in 2004. Neither of the victims were her students.

Kinley had sex with the boy in her Columbia home in October and November 2004, according to the recent indictment.

The boy initially denied his involvement with Kinley, when detectives visited his house March 14, according to charging documents. But a week later, in the principal?s office of a local high school, he told police he had had sex with Kinley in October 2004, about three weeks before his 16th birthday, and again in November, according to charging documents.

He told police his friend gave him Kinley?s IM screen name ? “something with an angel it” ? and instructed the boy on what to say to Kinley to get her to send him nude photos, and eventually, to have sex with him, according to charging documents.

The boy told police that “a guy just had to ask to ?hang out,? and [Kinley] would have sex with him.”

Kinley is free on a $75,000 bond. A Howard judge allowed her to move in with a relative in Alexandria, Va., after the first indictment.

She is county?s third teacher since January to be charged with multiple sex offenses involving a minor.

Kinley?s attorney, Thomas Morrow, did not return calls for comment.
