Trump: ‘A lot of Democrats are going to join the train’

President-elect Donald Trump is confident Democratic lawmakers will support some of his administration’s work, including its plan to replace Obamacare.

Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday evening he will not have to rely as heavily on executive action because the Republican-led Congress, as well as some Democrats, will cooperate with the White House.

“I think we’re going to do a lot of it,” Trump said when asked about accomplishing a 15 percent tax rate, repatriating trillions and energy independence. “And we’re going to be rescinding executive orders, but I don’t think we’re going to have to use very many executive orders because we have a Congress that’s going to go along with things. And I think a lot of Democrats are going to join the train if you want to know the truth.”

Trump stated that he has spoken with Democrats, but did not name the congressmen who will support his plans.

The president-elect said he now has a list of three or four people he is considering nominating to the Supreme Court to replace the late conservative justice Antonin Scalia. Trump confirmed the handful of people were in his original list he released to the public earlier this year. He pledged to announce his final choice in the near future.
