PLANO, Texas (AP) — An aide says the oldest-ever member of the U.S. House is recovering after surgery to repair hip injuries from a weekend car accident in North Texas.

A spokeswoman for U.S. Rep. Ralph Hall said Monday that the Texas Republican continues to recover in Medical Center of Plano after surgery. A hospital spokeswoman said Hall’s condition was stable late Monday.
