‘God be with you all!’: Trump tweets condolences for shooting victims in El Paso

As details began to emerge following a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, President Trump shared his thoughts and detailed his conversation with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

“Terrible shootings in ElPaso, Texas. Reports are very bad, many killed. Working with State and Local authorities, and Law Enforcement. Spoke to Governor to pledge total support of Federal Government. God be with you all!” the president tweeted on Saturday afternoon.

Reports from the scene were still unclear at the time of Trump’s tweet. Authorities claim to have a single gunman in custody after police initially believed there were multiple shooters. Reports have also stated that at least 18 people were shot and injured, and at least 14 were transported to local hospitals, authorities say.

Authorities said the ages of victims receiving treatment range from 35-82 years old.

The identity and motive of the alleged shooter has not yet been officially confirmed, but a law enforcement source told the Washington Examiner 21-year-old Patrick Crusius is in custody.
