Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said she thinks President Trump sees women and the people around him as “something to be used.”
“He’s so routinely dismissive of women, the way he talks about women,” Fiorina said on the Yahoo News show “Through Her Eyes.” “And on the other hand, he’s put a lot of women in really important jobs.”
“I think he views women as something to be used,” Fiorina said in the interview that will air Tuesday night. “On the other hand, I think he views people as something to be used.”
Fiorina, who was the only Republican woman to participate in the 2016 presidential primaries, also took aim at the Republican and Democratic parties over their treatment toward women.

“I think the Republican Party routinely dismisses and diminishes women, to be honest with you,” Fiorina said. “If you look at the women senators in the Republican Party, they’re pretty much discounted until their vote is needed. That’s not OK.”
“I would quickly add, I think that Democrats have politicized women in a way that’s very unfortunate,” she continued.
Fiorina was CEO of Hewlett-Packard from 1999 to 2005. During the 2016 election, Fiorina suspended her campaign after poor results in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who was running second to Trump in the primaries announced in April 2016 that Fiorina was his presumptive running mate, but dropped out of the race about a week later.
